2011 Federal Tax Credit Details

The Federal Government is offering a Federal Tax Credit for certain high efficiency tankless water heaters that are put into service in calendar year 2011. In order to qualify for this tax credit the tankless water heater must meet certain criteria:

• The tankless water heater must be put into service between 1/1/2011 and 12/31/2011
• The tankless water heater must have an Energy Factor greater or equal to .82 OR a Thermal Efficiency of  at least 90%
• The tankless water heater must have less than 200,000 BTU maximum input

The 2011 Federal Tax Credit for tankless water heaters allows for up to a 10% credit on the full purchase price of the heater PLUS the cost of the installation. The maximum credit that can be claimed under this 2011 tax credit plan is $300.00.
